The iTimekeep July 2025 release contains a new feature, an improvement, and fixes for iTimekeep.

New Feature

Action Codes Populate Narrative

Select action codes during time entry to automatically populate the work description field with a predefined, contextually-relevant description. This reduces the amount of manual typing and repetitive entry required, ensures narratives are aligned with firm standards and billing guidelines, and promotes consistency across time entry, improving clarity for clients and reviewers.

Requirements

• iTimekeep 3.4.0

Availability

This feature is available for all Time and Billing systems. Expert integration is supported by default on iTimekeep Connect 3.4.0.

The following versions of iTimekeep are currently supported:

• iTimekeep Desktop
• iTimekeep Outlook Plugin

Note: Support for the mobile application iTimekeep (Preview) is scheduled for release in a later update.

Subscription Properties

Action codes populating the work description field is enabled by default.

To configure action codes automatically populating the work description field, open the iTimekeep Admin portal and navigate to Configure iTimekeep > System Defaults. The setting Leave Work Desc Blank When No Action Code Expansion Text is off by default. Select it to disable the work description field being automatically populated.

Improvements

When using the Outlook plugin, users are no longer required to log in each time it is opened.

Fixes

Resolved an issue where text in selection fields did not wrap.

Violations now display in the appropriate order.
