What is a Suggested Time Entry?
A Suggested Time Entry is a record of time spent on a specific task or event, generated automatically based on observed activity or data from connected applications like calendars or email clients. The purpose of these suggested time entries is to streamline and simplify the process of logging hours or tasks, by automatically identifying potential time that could be logged based on the user’s activity.
Remember, a suggested time entry is just that — a suggestion. It’s up to the user to review, edit, accept, or reject these suggestions based on their actual work activity.
When will Suggested Time Entries be displayed?
Suggested Time Entries are generated only after an event, such as a Calendar or Zoom meeting, has taken place. They are not created for future events, so users will not be able to see upcoming events in their Suggested Time Entries.
What is the color coding for events?
- Outlook Events (Not actionable) – Blue
- Suggested Time Events (unactioned) – Yellow
- Draft or Submitted events (actioned items) – Green
- NOTE: When a user actions an item, they will need to manually refresh the page to see the suggested time entry repopulate with the appropriate color.
Does Passive Time Assistant create Suggested Time Entries for Outlook Calendar Events?
No, Passive Time Assistant does not create Suggested Time Entries based on Outlook Calendar events. The calendar events are read-only and serve to provide users with context regarding the meetings that took place on a given day.
Does the Microsoft connector track email events?
Yes, Passive Time Assistant tracks only SENT emails.
Why is there a discrepancy between scheduled meetings and the suggested time entry being displayed?
Passive Time Assistant tracks when a user has joined or left a meeting. This may result in differences between the scheduled meeting and the Suggested Time Entry, which specifically tracks the times when a user joins or leaves a meeting.
