May 2026 Release

What's Included in this Release

The iTimekeep May 2026 release contains new features for iTimekeep, and the release of the Desktop Activity Tracker application.

New Features

AI-Automated Activity Capture and the Desktop Activity Tracker Application

AI-automated activity capture uses the Desktop Activity Tracker application to record work as it happens across different applications. The Desktop Activity Tracker functions at the workstation level to record activity in all applications. The following applications are supported with greater detail, and display with their specific icons in Desktop Activity, and the iTimekeep Suggested Time view:

  • Web browsers (including their open tabs)
    • Google Chrome
    • Microsoft Edge
    • Firefox
  • Microsoft Office applications
    • Word
    • Outlook
    • PowerPoint
    • Excel
    • OneNote
  • Adobe Acrobat

Timekeepers have full control over what applications are tracked through user-level settings in the application, can enable, disable or pause tracking at any time, and can configure minimum activity thresholds to ensure only significant work is captured.

The Desktop Activity Tracker is available for download for iTimekeep Premium firms on myAderant, under Product Downloads.

AI-Automated Time Entry Generation

AI-Automated time entry generation uses captured activity data to draft time entries with complete work description narratives, task and activity codes, and client and matter context that are ready for immediate review and timekeeper refinement.

Note: AI-automated time entry generation is not enabled by default, and must be enabled. For more information, contact your firm’s Support representative, or Aderant Professional Services if your firm is in the process of implementing iTimekeep Premium.
