Timecard Validation Errors

Timecard Validation Errors are a powerful part of iTimekeep that ensures the completeness of time entries before submission to the billing system, and a critical piece to our compliance software. These error indicators allow Timekeepers and their Assistants to easily identify entries that need their attention the most. Furthermore, they explain in clear language what needs to be corrected before the timecard can be submitted to the billing system.

There are a few cases that would result in a timecard validation error:

  1. The timecard was not able to reach the database (connectivity issues, server down, subscription service down, etc)
  2. Bulk Submit includes an entry that has empty fields unless otherwise allowed by the firm (eg. zero-hour entries)
  3. OCG Live validation Error or Warning (These have tags specific to OCG Live but appear the same in the timecard details)

When a user sees a timecard with an Error status tag, they can open the entry and click on the banner (mobile app) or icon (iTimekeep Desktop) displayed at the top of the Edit Time screen. Clicking on the banner or icon displays more information about the error and what needs to specifically be corrected before resubmitting.
